Over the weekend my husband ran for a national delegate position for Barack Obama and he got it!
Here’s my husband’s speech ( he actually sang a few lines from a couple of songs and played his guitar ).
I’d like to say how proud I am of him… Luis does great work for our community and I’m grateful he was given this chance to be part of this historical delegation.

This land is your land,
This land is my land…
And the times
They are a changin’
Good afternoon fellow delegates, alternates and political warriors. I am LUIS MOSCOSO: community organizer, union activist and Democratic “CHANGE AGENT!”

Thanks for the W.A congrats…
I hope you didn’t forget Mom’s Birthday ( THAT was yesterday ) I did.
Don’t tell her.
Thank you all for your kind words of support and congratulations. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that my election would not have been possible if not for the hard work of my wife Anita. Not only has she been supportive she also has “my back” defending me from the petty politics that are part of everyday political life. What you also may not know is how dependent I am on her constructive criticism re issues and tactics. I’m the “strategic” thinker. But she helps me get my thoughts into action. She would be much more dynamic than me if she was in my position. But her passion is writing and I wish her the best in that. (We just celebrated our 18th Anniversary yesterday!)

Happy Anniversary to you both!
Awww. That’s so sweet.
Much respect to both of you for all of your community activism. Politics is a rough life. My mom used to help the local politicians campaign and I’d go on the trail with her. I wished I had such tough skin as the politicians do.
Congrats again and I’ll look for you on tv at the DNC.
happy anniversary!
congratulations on the delegate thing. gosh, what an amazing time we live in.
all the best.
