As Seattle P.I. Columnist Joel Connelly has pointed out in two recent articles (articles HERE and HERE ) that in the state of Washington if you wanted to see or hear Hillary or Bill Clinton speak it was going to cost you.
They’ve either been at book signings or fundraisers and don’t for a minute think it was going to be inexpensive- ( unless you count the freebie Hillary did the night before Obama came to Seattle back in February )
In case you’re not familiar with the incident, after the State of Washington went to Obama Bill Clinton wrote us off as a small state that doesn’t count and pronounced us all ” Latte Democrats “
So this morning I run across this article from The NY Times.Com
Better Off Than They Were Eight Years Ago
One take-away from the Clinton tax returns may be that the path to financial security may be found by writing books.
The Clintons made $109 million over eight years, according to tax information released Friday by Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaign. Former President Bill Clinton earned $29.6 million from his two books, “My Life” and “Giving,” ; Mrs. Clinton earned $10.5 million from her book “Living History.”
And they may not be finished. Surely there is a book in the idea of a former first lady running for the White House, however it comes out.
And one by a former president who campaigns for his wife as she runs for his old job.
And of course one by their daughter, who has yet to tell her story.
So Bill and Hillary…who are the Latte Democrats NOW?
