In 2007 Shawna Forde ran for CITY OF EVERETT COUNCIL POS 5  in Everett, Washington.

She ran on a racist platform- designed by the now accused Child Killer- to look like  an ” Illegal Immagration ” platform.

And in the end- despite the fact she had target Elected Officials, a member of the Washington State Human Rights Commission,  Human Rights Activists  and the Washington State Democratic Party Secretary and saying that Hispanics couldn’t “poop without Gringo money ” on her first defunct website, Shawna Forde- the accused Child Killer with ties ( self tied according to what both  organizations  claim )  to groups like the Minutemen and FAIR did not lose her race because of her extreme views.

She withdrew from the race for POS 5 because she was charged with stealing a bottle of milk and that bottle of now famous  chocolate milk was the thing that made Shawan Forde decide she was no longer a viable candidate for  Public Office.

Still in the end Forde  got 5892 votes out of a total count of 16,904 votes cast ( official count from the Snohomish County Auditors website)  HERE

Initially I thought I only had one question about that race

What would the final count had been had she NOT  stolen that bottle of milk?

After going back and looking at those election results guess I don’t have one question about that race in Everett, Washington anymore.

I have 5,892.

Yes We Can

Over the weekend my husband ran for a national delegate position for Barack Obama and he got it!

Here’s my husband’s speech ( he actually sang a few lines from a couple of songs and played his guitar ).

I’d like to say how proud I am of him… Luis does great work for our community and I’m grateful he was given this chance to be part of this historical delegation.

It Only Hurts When You Laugh

The men who attached the picture at the bottom of this post to an e-mail as a joke are not sitting in a basement lined with tin foil –

they don’t visit sites like:

CTRL Forums where nobody knows your name

and

they don’t listen to The Conspiracy Channel On Line.

No, the people who passed this picture along via the Internet are NOT sitting in a room with five deadbolts on the door and that door is not monitored by a 24 hour surveillance camera. They are not sleeping on  boxes of sardines in crates and their electricity is not provided by a gasoline generator

They are sitting on the Snohomish City Council in Washington State and from their elected positions they say certainly don’t harbor any ill-feelings towards the Hispanics living in our county.

Really.

Let’s take a look at this ‘joke’…shall we?

Leaving Mexico. Entering MeximericaWelfare Dept. (1/4 MI),

Social Security (3/4 MI), Free Medical (1 1/4 MI)

Do you know what?

 I beg to differ…

and I would also hazard to say that Snohomish does not deserve the black eye that Councilmen Doug Thorndike and R.C. “Swede” Johnson have given it.

We ALL deserve so much better

LINK to one ( but somewhat anemic story ) HERE:

Statement from

The Diversity Committee of the Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee.

The Diversity Committee of the Snohomish County Democratic Central Committee takes a stand against “white privilege” in our county.
Recently two Snohomish City council members used the Internet in an inappropriate manner and must be held accountable for their actions.

These two members of the council, Council Member Thorndike and Council Member Johnson recently sent an inappropriate email message to another Council Member that was an example of “white privilege”.

“White privilege is the advantages given freely to white people for no other reason than being born with the “right” skin color. If their skin color had not been white, they would not have been making these jokes. This is no way for an American to treat another American.

Mr. Thorndike and Mr. Johnson have left question marks with most people about their decision-making process. If either were my employee, this behavior would not be tolerated. As an elected official, I expect a higher standard of leadership than what they displayed.

It is time that this attitude is removed from our society and the respect of all people be truly adopted.
