Do you know there is a right way to blog?
It’s true. I ready it in a book and the book made a lot of sense and I even learned a couple of things.
For example I learned my blog sucks.
I’ll be darned. I mean I read other blogs that are fun and they get a ton of traffic and comments but I didn’t think I was in the sucks catagory. But gee whiz that’s where I am.
So, I could go back and do it right or close this blog down and start a smart spiffy blog
OR
I can be honest with myself.
This is how I express myself- for real no bells or whistles. If me and you were sitting around and talking pretty much what you see is is how I sound when I talk. Except for in real life I have weirder ideas and I talk with my hands a lot plus I do that eye roll thing and I am convinced that one day my eyes are going to get stuck up there and I’m going to be blind but that’s another post.
There are times when I feel more like myself – and that means the ‘myself’ I like an awful lot when I write.
To bad that in the world of blogging that doesn’t count for much.

Erm, why exactly is your blog supposed to suck? I think it is fun. [Wait, does this mean my blog sucks too? Just how far does this conspiracy go?]
I think the fun part is the killer. You’re suppose to learn things from blogs. LOL. I’m going to do one dedicated to grave digging and cannibals. That’s what I think about THAT.
Oh and I like focus, direction and a theme…I almost forgot to mention that.
My blog is fucking awesome.
Yes it is- plus you’re one hell of a photographer!
Oh, yeah, my blog totally sucks too because you’re suppose to narrow the focus of your blog’s theme to something like making baby booties or living on a dude ranch or something like that. My interests are all over the place and I talk about whatever floats my boat at a given moment. I tried to focus which is why I ended up having all these different blogs all over the internet so I really really need to just have one blog and so what if that sucks. We should have a web ring called “Blogs that Suck.”
I thought that’s what blogs were about L. Whatever floats your boat. So I’m with you on this
so the only way to do a great blog is not to be ourselves? Sod that! lol
I do have regular readers, I know that, but hardly get any comments these days on mine, BUT, I hardly ever get spam either 🙂
I think you don’t get a lot of comments because your readers are busy kissing their screens. Those Tux pictures are magical Dev. Just magical
they are rather distracting aren’t they?
speaking of, I’d better go sort out some for this weeks post….
Woo hoo and Geronimo!
My blog sucks BIG TIME then because I think I’m the only one who reads it sometimes. This post reminds me of when my parents went to see my 6th grade English teacher about my grade in penmanship. I have good handwriting, but it isn’t the prettiest. My parents wondered why I got a C in penmanship, and the teacher pulled out a chart with sample handwriting to defend her antiquated reasoning.
But back to blogging… I blog for myself, nobody else, but if somebody happens to like what I post or has a constructive criticism so much the better. I’m sure there’s a better way to blog than the way I do it, but I’m not doing it for money or a high traffic number. I do it because it’s my creative outlet.
You’ve made me laugh out loud and cry out loud too. Not a thing wrong with that. Then there are those times my response is – that was completely different! If you followed the rules, you wouldn’t have such amazing twists.
For a blog that supposedly sucks, you have nearly 300.000 hits. Well done.
Yep.; I suck bigtime alright. LOL
