The Charles Dickens Experiment

If I had to choose my all time favorite Ghost Story

It would be Charles Dicken’s

A Christmas Carol.

It has it all, ghosts, gloom, despair, human monsters ( my favorite kind of monster ) and at the end when Scrooge is in the Graveyard and has guessed exactly who is in that uncared for grave and says:

“Before I draw nearer to that stone to which you point,” said Scrooge, “answer me one question. Are these the shadows of the things that Will be, or are they shadows of things that May be, only?”

Pure Ghost Story Gold.

So here’s the deal.

Normally from November till Christmas I do the light hearted stuff.

But this year I do believe that today I will return to my Owl Creek Bridge Blog and begin

The Dicken’s Experiment.

I want to see if I can keep it odd and macabre during the Christmas Season.

I’ll bet you I can.

So check out my daily posts HERE and see how I do.

Happy Holidays!

You know, until I get my hands all over it.

Hey Ya- These Students Are AWESOME

This video was created by students here in Washington State at Shorecrest High School for a Video Production Class.

(Shorecrest High School a public high school in Shoreline, Washington (grades 9 through 12). Shorecrest was founded in 1961 and its mascot is Otis the Fighting Scot, and students refer to themselves as “Scots,” or the “Highlanders,” a reference to the Clan Gordon. Shorecrest is one of the two high schools in the Shoreline School District.)

The video was well done, the choice of the song was excellent-

however

the way they tied it together and told a story?

It’s pure youtube magic

so check it out and

ENJOY

and pass it on if the spirit moves you to do so…

which I’m sure it will.
