Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been?
I’ve been to London to visit the Queen.
Pussycat, pussycat, what did you there?
I frightened a little mouse under her chair.
So, in the past week my laptop died, my sister went in for surgery to have a lump removed from her arm (she is a breast cancer survivor ) and in Seattle they are repaving the street- which happens to be my ceiling at work.
I have been listening to pounding, jack hammers and buzzing ( God, where is that sound coming from anyway? Have the streets crews awakened some sleeping demon…Where the HELL is that sound coming from?”)
That repaving has given me a new outlook on a certain issue.
That issue happens to be torture- if you do it somebody needs to send you to jail where you should spend the rest of your days trading cigarettes for you life.
But yesterday I went to my friend’s house for an afternoon that involved Wine Spritzers, a chocolate fountain, Cockles and Clams ( freshly dug that morning ) stories about San Francisco and guys in the Navy ( ahem ).
I also heard great stories from some newly made friends who are from the local Native Tribes in my area- and those stories were awesome. In addition, I learned that Canoe teams from Hawaii worked on and spent time here, particiaptating in events with the Tribes on all things Canoe right here in Washington State…how cool is that?
They ate seafood together, sang together and spent time on the water together.
How awesome is that?
So sorry no pictures.
Sometimes you have to make the choice, if you are behind the camera you can’t very well be in front of it too- can you?
Besides, I’m writer first and yesterday not only did I feed my brain, I fed my soul
and it was
DE-LICIOUS.
That’s right – got to embrace life!!!! Party on!
Good thoughts to your sister AMM.
