This is Wolfie, he died two years ago from kidney failure.
He was 17 years old.
Wolfie isn’t like my other cats because:
He loved eating potato chips
he would fight me for my cheeseburgers
and he considered stealing food from my plate a contact sport .
For fun he enjoyed getting into my book bag, probably just so he could hear the crash when he would knock it off the chair.
He also found ways to steal my pillow when I was sleeping- I guess I should be grateful he only wanted to sleep on it.
The thing of it is, after he died I realized I wasn’t use to pillows anymore and I was waking up in the middle of the night and tossing it on the floor.
Wolfie had some weird habits, but I wasn’t the perfect pet owner so it balanced itself out.
This is Carl Kolchak

- Carl Kolchak
Last year I rescued him from a bad end- he was caught in a trap and on his way to the Humane Soceity when I took him home.
Carl isn’t like my other cats because:
He eats potato chips, hogs my pillow and if I blink he will steal the food off of my plate.
And when I walk in the door and sit my book bag down he purrs so hard his body shakes and then he jumps up grabs it and pulls it down.
When it hits the floor he doesn’t even flinch.
It’s funny, the way life finds ways to go on.
so either we’re dealing with reincarnation OR you bring out certain behavior in cats. hmmmm.
Wolfie obviously told Carl (in the strange way that only cats can) to find you and do those things.
A great insight into cat ownership for any of those poor people who don’t have one as their friend.
Trouble is, they leave before we are ever ready for them to do so – then again our hearts grow larger for having had them there 🙂
Thank you!
Wolfie reincarnate is beautiful! Our cat Zeus loves to shred toilet paper and just sits and systematically knocks items off of the surface nearest you if you aren’t paying attention to him. 🙂
Hi All,
Luis has come home from work a few times and been sitting on this step Wolfie used to wait on for us on.
None of the other cats use it.
Except for Carl.
Do you suppose that Carl is a reincarnate of Wolfie.
As for cats in general, I think they are the most beautiful of creatures, the most intelligent and all knowing.
Vi
Vi I wish it were so, but in my heart I know Wolfie is gone.
HOWEVER
I think that cats see things and feel things that other animals can’t, and who knows what Carl is seeing? But it’s sweet, very sweet what he’s doing.
wolfie had a beautiful coat
Perhaps Wolfie is sitting next to Carl on the steps saying stuff like “Oh, yeah, and the female bi-ped just loves it when you bring dead birds to her….” Stuff like that.
BTW, Carl is a beautiful cat.
I still miss Wolfie but I am glad you found Kolchack he is great.
Hi Max- Kolchak is great- he’s in love with my Dalmation-Domino. It makes sense, she spent so much time with Wolfie that I’m pretty sure she thinks she’s a cat.
A long time ago I read that sometimes, if a cat especially adored their human, after they pass, they will share the body of another cat, so they can be with that human again.
Wolfie could very well be sharing Carl’s body, there is too much cat in the eyes to be just a cat.
C arl is also a very handsome gato, I’ve always had a fondness for black cats. Be sure to give Carl/Wolfie a good petting for me.
Hugs,
